New Flying Site location

Dear Members I'm pleased to inform you all that we have succesfully secured a second flying site.

This would not have been possible without the help of Mr S.Pugh Jones, so a big thank you to Steve from all members.

The location and site proposal is available by following the link below:

Upland Arms Farm is located on the A484 between Kidwelly and Charmarthen. Aproximately 5.5miles from Carmarthen(10mins) or 7miles from Pembrey Race Circuit (13mins)

The main entrance to the field is visible on google maps via a gate, which you enter the first field, where you must follow the hedgerow by car as this area is predominantly covered by chippings but is also covered over with grass. Currently there are some soft areas with water along the driveway but more scalpings will be delivered in the next week or so to help with curing this problem.

There is sufficient space for cars to park.

There is some work to be done to get the site up and running for flying use, but with some good effort from all club members thios could be done over 1 weekend.

The wind direction is westerly and there is sufficient room for flying and possibly a seperate location for control line at the same time.

I.C. and Electric power is permitted to be used and this will be 7 days a week with no time restriction within reason.

The landowners main dwelling will be to our right rear as we stand in the flight box facing the runway side on ( like the cabin is situated in pembrey when we stand in the flight box there)

Mr Lyn Moses (land owner) is kindly donating an old wooden shed that is no longer in use by himself for us to store the ride on mower and other equipment approx 6mx3m and will dismantle it from its current location for us to rebuild in a suitable location of our choice. He has also confirmed that he will be altering the main gate for improved access to the first field next week.

Hope this gets to all of you members, any issues with the link please let me know through whats app.

many thanks

Christian and Mike
