Hi everyone sorry its been so long posting.
Dear Members, It looks like there may be some good news soon.
After reading a post on our whats app group earlier today i decided to phone Pembrey circuit and i managed to speak to Phil the Manager there.
I explained whom i was and asked if he had heared any correspondance from the BARC with regards to opening the Pembrey Racing Circuit Venue in the near future.
He explained that circuits in England had allready reopened and that it was actually down to his discretion as to when to open their venue with the current situation with Goverment rules that came into place on Friday 29th May and the covid-19 crisis. What he explained was that there will be an announcement this coming week as to what will be happening at Pembrey but this would primarily be notification to professional athletes/racing drivers and racing teams, what he did say also to myself was that if we LMFC were to send him an E-mail with regards to what measures would be put in place to ensure that we comply with the covid-19 and goverment rules ie a full risk assesment and full cooperation with regards to social distancing would need to be implace, then he could have a discussion with his team as to whether or not this would be achievable and hopefully allow us to use the facility to carry on flying.
What i think we should do as a club is to leave the cabin locked during these times as a health and safety pecaution and to bring our own chairs and drinks etc. No signs to be put up either to ensure no cross contamination.
If this is stipulated in a risk assesment or anything else that we put forward to Phil he will want it strictly adhered to and no doubt would be checking that all measures are in place at all times, pending his approval or the risk assessment it will be modified to include any of his suggestions as he says he wants to discuss our risk assessment with his team.
So hopefully an E-mail will be sent out shortly and fingers crossed some good news will come from it.
Please read the following note as it is Important

Sadly, Owain's mother has passed away. She had been taken ill last year about the time he spent so much time helping us with the NFZ at Pembrey. Our thoughts are with him and his family.

TO ALL MEMBERS
AFTER A DISCUSSION THIS MORNING WITH PHIL AT OUR PEMBREY FLYING SITE
IT IS UNFORTUNATE BUT PEMBREY RACING CIRCUIT IS AS OF TODAY 22/03/2020 CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC AND OUR CLUB UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE DUE TO THE COVID 19 OUTBREAK.
I AM NOT ENTIRELY SURE WHY, AS IT IS AN OUTDOOR VENUE BUT I CAN ONLY ASSUME IT WILL BE USED FOR EMERGENCY FACILITIES ONLY AND THE MOD DUE TO THEIR USE THERE.
FURTHER NEWS WILL BE POSTED WHEN MORE DETAILS ARE AVAILABLE.
JUST TO REMIND MEMBERS THERE IS STILL AN ALTERNATIVE SITE THAT COULD BE USED FOR ELECTRIC ONLY AND THAT IS BY Mr.S.Pugh-Jones Property IN MEINCIAU

Dear Club members;
As you may be all aware the current situation with the coronavirus 19 outbreak has dampened our ability to continue with monthly club meetings and the indoor flying. Mr S.Pugh-Jones has been in contact with J.Davies and decided that due to the current situation of the outbreak and for the safety of all members, with immediate effect to cancel using this facility at Gwenllian Sports Centre in Kidwelly until further notice. Please note that the BMFA have also mentioned caution with regards to indoor flying from an e-mail I received from BMFA admin.
Outdor flying will carry on as normal at Pembrey as the BMFA believe "In general terms model flying represents a low risk activity due to the predominantly outdoor nature of the activity and the opportunity to maintain inter-personal separation".I encourage all members to attend where possible even if it is to get fresh air or to greet other members in a safe enviroment.
Myself and J.Davies have also spoken and have decided to cancel April's club meeting and to postpone any further meetings if neccesary until it is safe to do so.
Unfortunately numerous club members may have to self-isolate at this current time due to their age and I ask that everyone keep in touch via phone, e-mail or the whats app group to ensure all other members that we will get through these tough times ahead.
If any member may require some assistance of any kind during self-isolation please dont hesitate to get in contact.

In our last meeting I asked if it would be possible to set up a what’s app group for the club. This group would allow easy communication between the clubs members. Using the WhatsApp group gives members the ability to be able to message other members individually or as the whole group.
E.g any group member could ask in one message if any other members will be flying at Pembrey or our other site without taking the chance that others may turn up on the day. Information can be easily shared.
If anyone is interested in joining the group. Please contact me by phone, email or text and l will include you in the group.
