A talk about RAF Pembrey, and it's life during, and post, WW2, is being given by Jeff Thomas, on Tuesday December 12th at 19:00, in the Burry Port Memorial Hall Annex. There will be an entrance fee of £2 for non-Historical Society members. There will be tea.
Jeff is a very interesting speaker, and has been a Burry Port resident all his life, so he knows a thing or two.
Geoff Harper is loaning his Hurricane model for demo purposes and I believe it will be an interesting night.
A mobile phone has been added to the facilities at Pembrey. The phone is stored in the cabin along with a solar panel, a charger and storage battery
On arrival at site please switch on the phone and switch off when leaving.. Dial the mobile to check whether there are members present. If a call goes straight to voice mail then the phone is off. If the ring tone sounds the unit is on. No need to answer unless the caller persists.
The Llanelli Model Flying Club was formed some 50+ years ago by a small group of enthusiasts, and from those humble beginnings has grown to the point where we have nearing seventy members of all ages and two flying sites.
