Pembrey Mountain Trust Concert

Pembrey Mountain Trust  with FRIENDS OF THE DOME: PRESS RELEASE
A night to remember!  A concert filled with morale boosting songs and music.
Event date: Saturday 8th April 2017
Time:  7p.m. till 9  p.m.
Location: Burry Port Memorial Hall, SA16 0BN
Swingtime, ‘boogie-woogie’ and songs you must remember, will be the order of the day at the Burry Port Memorial Hall on Saturday 8th April – and all in a good cause…
Burry Port’s local Town Band and Male Voice Choir will top the bill, along with The Gunnery Girls  Their repertoire will contain wartime favourites as well as inspiring songs – in English and Welsh - which will always raise the morale as well as giving everyone the opportunity to join in the singing or even take to the dance floor!
Highlights will include songs from favourites such as South Pacific, as well as memorable tunes made so very popular during the 1940s, and treasured by generations after.
All proceeds are going towards rescuing a very rare relic of the Second World War.  To be found in an area close to Pembrey Country Park, the Dome was used to train over 3000 air gunners.  Work is now underway to try to rescue this amazing reminder of how young men were trained in combat.
The Concert begins at 7p.m. - with doors opening at 6.30pm
Tickets cost £10 and can be purchased from the Ticket Hut, Burry Port, the Post Office Pembrey or from Patricia Neil on
